2010 Predictions

With a New Year underway the SPW staff got together to share their predictions for 2010.  Some were obvious choices, others funny while others would be quite shocking!  Here are some of the highlights:

• SPW will celebrate two years in operation in April in grand fashion.
  
  
• By mid-year SPW will be promoting and celebrating its 50th live event.
  
  
• The first Tag Team Champions will be crowned and several new teams will be created in an effort to get into title contention.  The Tag Team Division will heat up and we will see several title changes throughout the year with the increase in competition.
  
  
• SPW’s roster will be showcased in several different territories including Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Illinois among others.
  
  
• Marius will lose the SPW title sometime this year.  At some point Chi Chi Cruz will become the champion.  Matt Fairlane will eventually secure a second title reign.  Jerin Rose will come close to being champion but fall short before winning it in 2011.
  
  
• The SPW and TRCW Titles will be unified.
  
  
• A minimum of 24 events will be promoted in 2010 with as many DVD releases.
  
  
• SPW iTV will break its current 7 day viewing record (310 views) by more than 100 views.
  
  
• Ike Idol will emerge as a top flight main event player.  He and Jerin Rose will feud over the title by 2011.
  
  
• Jay Lanza will become SPW Provincial Champion as will Billy Blaze and La Sombra will become a 3-time champion.  Shadow Xtreme will become a consistent top contender to the title.
  
  
• Nacho Slurpee will win a singles match and it will be the greatest day of his life.  Super Big Gulp, however, will not win a singles match.
  
  
• The Family of Darkness will disintegrate after a power struggle between Marius and his mentor Rob Stardom.
  
  
• SPW will promote its first ever cage match and it will sell-out the Selkirk Memorial Hall.
  
  
• Rick Martel will return to SPW with his former tag team partner Tito Santana and reform Strike Force.  They will quickly win the SPW Tag Team Titles.
  
  
• The SPW Heavyweight Title will be defended across Manitoba as well as Minnesota, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
  
  
• SPW will promote several women’s matches between Alexis, Tenille Tayla, Lynn Adams, PJ Tyler, Carol Stanton and Tabitha.  A round robin will be held with the winner being awarded a trophy.
  
  
• A monstrous battle royal will be held between SPW wrestlers and members of the Selkirk Steelers hockey team.
  
  
• Rob Stardom, Bobby Jay, Zack Mercury and DOOM will be invited to wrestle for Carlos Colon’s WWC in Puerto Rico.
