Hey ya' all...hang onto your hen house...'cause it's another "Jethro Hawg Blog"!!
Well I don't mind telling you that the excitement here in the Pembina Valley office of SPW is...well...electric! So many things going on, so many plans being made...as well as new business friends, so many doors coming wide open for us here; can you tell I'm excited?? Let’s take a quick look at December...
The Christmas Catastrophe show in Selkirk on the 26th of Dec. was another resounding success for the home venue for Steeltown Pro Wrestling. The weather did however become a bit of a factor as the main event which was scheduled to be Matt Fairlane vs. Syko in a Secret Santa match...it was not to be as Syko's people/handlers were snowed in and could not get out. I was in contact with them and even made the attempt to get there myself in the ol' 4x4 but with no good results, they were just snowed in. In Syko's place was the outstanding J.J. Sanchez who really took it to the former champ.. The show also saw the in-ring return of Dynamite Dave Petrol who tagged up with the TRCW Heavyweight Champ Jerin Rose vs. Sgt. Tom Steele and Drezden...Rob Stardom also battled in a no DQ match up with none other than Chi Chi Cruz...at ringside was a mysterious masked man who interfered in the match up along with that action also stirred up some serious controversy as to who this masked man was...and why he got involved...you can see all the results and an interview with Chi Chi Cruz right here on the SPW web site.
As for all the excitement here in our end of the province...well it's because we are working hard to expand our territory into the Pembina Valley and beyond...The Morden MB show on the 16th of Jan is really starting to shape up with a lot of interest from the community! We have several companies on line with us as major sponsors of the show and ticket sales have gone very well through the Christmas season...You can see our complete schedule for the coming months right here on the SPW site as well...
La Sambra and I chatted earlier this week and he is on the mend and doing very well thanks to all the support and love from his great fans. The surgery was of a very serious nature as he had a lot of damage to the knee but as I have stated before, this young man is a fighter and I won't be surprised to see some serious forward strides made by this young man in the future. I told him as I tell all of our guys and gals who are nursing injuries or recovering from surgery to be very careful and take your time...allow the healing to be complete, and then make a great and strong return!! Walking when you are in your 40's is not over-rated...
Well that is all from me for this time, stay tuned to our weekly SPW iTV show on YouTube and visit the Steeltown Pro Wrestling web site often, for updates, schedules and much, much more...Oh and Happy New Year to all of our fans!! Hang on for the hay ride as this next year will bring so many surprises...you won't believe your own eyes!!!
