SPW iTV: Six Seasons Strong

When television was first introduced to society wrestling was quick to capitalize by offering much needed content to budding TV networks.  History repeated itself again with the advent of cable, PPV and finally with the explosion of the internet.  As the internet evolved it has become a preferred medium for video content from network TV offering their shows on their websites to the viral nature of YouTube.

With that in mind SPW made a conscious decision to produce a weekly internet series that would be aired on both their official webstie (www.steeltownprowrestling.ca) and on their official YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/steeltownprowreslin).  The idea was to offer exposure to their wrestlers and their sponsors while promoting the talent roster, DVDs and upcoming events.  The formula was simple and has been practiced since the invention of radio.

Since that time Steeltown Pro Wrestling has produced 67 episodes of SPW iTV which is currently in its 6th season.  Over the first five seasons SPW iTV has been viewed for a total of 13,113 times from people around the world via YouTube and Steeltownprowrestling.ca.  Season 4 and 5 saw its highest average views-per-episode at 268 and 241 respectively.

SPW iTV has not only featured SPW regulars but also wrestlers from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec, the Maritimes, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Missouri, El Salvador, Australia and Switzerland.  That list has included the likes of 2-time ROH World Champion Austin Aries, WWE midget wrestler Short Sleeve Sampson, ROH and Pro Wrestling Noah star Claudio Castagnoli and WWE Legend Rick “the Model” Martel!
