For the last few months tag teams have been wrestling in qualifier matches to enter into the finals of the SPW Tag Team Titles to crown the first ever champions. The following teams have already qualified for the finals:
-Billy Blaze and La Sombra
-BIG BRIAN RICH and DOOM
-Bad to the Bone (Big Cliff Corleone and Reggie Gallagher)
-“Wild Child” Jerin Rose and Alex Shaver
Steeltownprowrestling.ca is attempting to confirm whether or not more teams will qualify for the finals. As it stands the inaugural champions may be crowned in a 4-way match or possibly a 6-way tag team Steeltown Showdown. If a 6-way match is chosen that leaves room for two more teams to qualify!
Here is a list of potential teams that could be entered into a qualifying match. Keep in mind however that this list is speculation only!
-Family of Darkness (Marius, Rob Stardom, Syko)
-Jay Lanza and Mitch Nightmare
-Team 24/7 (Nacho Slurpee and Super Big Gulp)
-Hoodwinked (The Hood and The Hoodlum)
It should also be noted that while the date of the tag team finals has not been determined, La Sombra’s participation is in question. If he is not cleared to return in time for the finals we are under the impression that SPW President Dale Barnett will allow Billy Blaze to choose a replacement partner.
