2010 Wrestler of the Year: Are the results tainted?

A recent SteeltownProWrestling.ca article broke news that SPW officials are suspecting foul play in a number of votes cast for Big Cliff Corleone in the 2010 SPW Wrestler of the Year poll.  After receiving wind of the news article, Big Cliff contacted SPW officials for his side of the story.

“This is politics, pure and simple.  Is it my fault I’m a popular guy?  Is it my fault people love me more than La Sombra or Matt Fairlane or Chi Chi Cruz?  I’m being punished because the people like me and not those handpicked cry babies.  I don’t know why SPW officials are so surprised; I’m one half of Bad to the Bone and the current SPW Tag Team Champion.  I’ve been in the ring with some of the biggest names this year: Bushwhacker Luke, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Demolition Ax and Smash…

I’m going to fight this.  If I win the poll, which I will because I’m such a popular guy, I’ll be the 2010 SPW Wrestler of the Year and no one will be able to take that away from me.  I’m not going to let backdoor politics interfere with me achieving this career milestone and winning this prestigious award.  Big Cliff Corleone is SPW’s 2010 Wrestler of the Year, hands down, no doubt about it.  Deal with it.”

SPW officials are still looking into the matter and are hoping to uncover enough facts to make a final decision on whether or not all the votes currently cast in the poll will be allowed to stand as they are.  SteeltownProWrestling.ca will keep you informed.
