Double Shot Weekend ReCap

SPW promoted two events on the weekend of August 20th and 21st. Both events were part of on going TV taping for creation of a new broadcast series that will be debuting in the near future.

Here are some of the major highlights from the Arborg TV Taping:

-Paul Brewski, trained by AWA Legend Greg Gagne, made his SPW debut. SPW official were very impressed by this young man.

-Two female wrestlers: Mystik and Ann Brookstone made their SPW debuts.

-Marius retained the SPW Heavyweight Title in a match with Matt Fairlane after hitting Fairlane with the SPW title.

-S ‘n R (Alex Shaver and Jerin Rose) retained the SPW Tag Team Titles.

-Gibby Guerrero was one of the most popular wrestlers on the card while Bobby Jay was one of the most hated.

-Andrew Hawk, Vince Austin and Steven Stylez all made their SPW returns.

-Bushwhacker Luke became the new SPW Provincial Champion defeating Syko in the main event.

Here are some of the highlights from the Red River Rumble:

-S ‘n R (Alex Shaver and Jerin Rose) retained the SPW Tag Team Titles.

-Marius retained the SPW Heavyweight Title against La Sombra.

-“Rebel” Bobby Collins made his SPW debut.

-“Iron” Ike Idol defeated Bushwhacker Luke to become a 2-time SPW Provincial Champion.

-Matt Fairlane won the third annual Red River Rumble to earn a shot at the SPW Heavyweight Title.
