Ike Idol: Provincial Champion

The SPW Provincial Championship has a strong history as a competitive division with a steady stream of challengers.  In June SYKO defeated Jay Lanza to win the Provincial Title and reigned supreme throughout the summer.  With his SPW debut, WWE Legend Bushwhacker Luke was granted a SPW Provincial Title match on Episode 6 of SPW SHOWDOWN.

With an assist from Chip Fletcher, Bushwhacker Luke defeated SYKO and was crowned the Provincial Champion.  Bushwhacker Luke’s career has spanned 40years, winning countless championships in Stampede Wrestling, Puerto Rico and throughout the National Wrestling Alliance, proudly adding the SPW Provincial Championship to his credentials.

With a victory over Gibby Guerrero on SPW SHODOWN: Episode 3, “Iron” Ike Idol was named the official #1 Contender for the Provincial Title.  Idol wasted no time challenging the new crowned champion and WWE Legend promising that he would become a 2-time Provincial Titlist.  SPW officials signed the match which took place on SPW SHOWDOWN: Episode 7.

Making good on his promise with a lending hand from Bobby Jay, Ike Idol was crowned the 2-time SPW Provincial Champion with the biggest victory of his career over the legendary veteran Bushwhacker Luke.

The Provincial Title has served as a catalyst in the last two weeks setting off a war between Chip Fletcher and SYKO, raising questions about why Bobby Jay cost Bushwhacker Luke the Provincial Title, and speculation as to the arrangement between Idol and Jay.
