ike idol fined $1000 for hitting ref

After losing the TRCW title on April 17th, Ike Idol was left in a fury that led to him stricking a SPW official with a hard slap across the face.  SPW ring announcer Wayne Stanton was immediately given word and announced to the crowd that Ike Idol would be fined $1000.00 for the rule infraction.

Ron Mclean caught up with Ike Idol and got some brief comments regarding the fine:

“Sure, fine me…of course they don’t fine Zack Mercury for interfering in the match; no, of course not!  This is typical BS from SPW President Dale Barnett, a real cash grab to take money out of my pocket.  He’ll get his money and I’ll shove you know where!”

SPW President Dale Barnett wanted to make one thing clear to all members of the SPW roster:

“It is unacceptable to lay your hands on a SPW referee when he is simply trying to do his job as an impartial officiator of the wrestling contest.  SPW officials should not have to fear for their safety nor should they need to become physically involved with any competitor.  Any wrestler caught striking an official will receive fines at the discretion of the SPW offices.”
