"wild child" jerin rose

Known as the “Wild Child”, Jerin Rose has found consistent success in the Central Canadian wrestling scene since first entering the game a decade ago.  Joining the ranks of River City Wrestling, Rose ascended through the rankings to become both a tag team and heavyweight champion.  A fixture in the main event picture on River City shows, Jerin was recruited to the Steeltown Pro Wrestling roster when it was launched in April 2008.

By the end of the year Rose was a top contender to the SPW Provincial Championship becoming one of four finalists to declare the inaugural champion in a 4-way match.  During this match a bitter feud ignited between Jerin Rose and Marius.  For the next four months the two went tooth and nail in a series of matches including hardcore matches, hair Vs hair matches and Manitoba’s first ever Blind Fold Match which was featured in the main event of the 2009 edition of Raising the Stakes.

In September 2009 Rose captured the prestigious TRCW Championship defeating then 3-time champion Rob Stardom.  During his reign Jerin Rose defended the championship throughout Manitoba against a variety of challenges.  He would eventually lose the championship to Ike Idol at the 2010 edition of Raising the Stakes.  During this time Rose had also struck up a friendship with a young Alex Shaver, taking him under his wing in a bid to become the first ever SPW Tag Team Champions.

In a 6-way tag team match to declare the first SPW tag champion at the 2nd Anniversary Show in April 2010, Rose and Shaver emerged victorious and were crowned the inaugural champions.  Christened the S ‘n R Express, Rose and Shaver defended the titles all over the province of Manitoba throughout the spring and summer months, appearing as champions on the first SPW SHOWDOWN TV tapings in August of that year.  In October 2010 S ‘n R were defeated for the SPW Tag Team Championships by Big Cliff Corleone and Reggie Gallagher, Bad to the Bone.

At the beginning of the year Jerin Rose made it clear that he was re-entering singles competition with one thing in mind, becoming the SPW Heavyweight Champion.  Racking up victories on January 1st and January 28th events in Selkirk and Notre-Dame, Rose’s journey towards the SPW Heavyweight Title is well under way.  Interestingly, the Raising the Stakes events have become something of a footnote on Rose’s career having defeated Marius in a main event Blind Fold Match at Raising the Stakes 2009 and losing the TRCW title to Ike Idol at Raising the Stakes 2010.

Raising the Stakes 2011 is right around the corner taking place on Saturday February 28th at the Selkirk Memorial Hall.  What will be in store for the “Wild Child” Jerin Rose?
