la sombra takes flight
La Sombra proved that he was back and full of fight in Gimli, Manitoba when he took SPW Heavyweight Champion Marius to the limit nearly walking out of Summer Slamathon as the Heavyweight Champion.
The young El Salvadorian missed more than six months of action after losing his SPW Provincial Title and subsequent reconstructive knee surgery. Now on his comeback trail, La Sombra has been training hard bringing his knee back to 100% and setting his sights on proving that he’s still the top high flyer in Steeltown Pro.
La Sombra has several options moving forward but from what SPW officials have told Steeltownprowrestling.ca revenge is on his mind. After further injuring his knee at the hands of Reggie Gallagher, La Sombra is looking for a measure of revenge and may challenge Gallagher on June 26 in Selkirk. On top of revenge, La Sombra has gold on his mind.
Those closest to him say that he had his eyes set on becoming a 3-time SPW Provincial Champion but after challenging Marius on June 5th is now interested on turning his attention to the SPW Heavyweight Title. Despite his stature, La Sombra has never been known to back down from a challenge whether it be against Ike Idol, The Epic, DOOM or Ring of Honor star Claudio Castagnoli.
Expect La Sombra to make some waves over the course of the summer as he re-establishes his presence on roster and sets his sights on the main event scene.
