steeltown pro wrestling in the pembina valley

The Pembina Valley, a majestic landscape of rolling hills, forestry and famer’s fields.  Steeltown Pro first ventured in the hills of the Pembina Valley when it debuted in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on Friday January 16, 2009.

Since that time the Pembina Valley has been a regular stop in the SPW schedule.  In fact SPW has a satellite office located on Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes that is headed up by John Henry and Jethro Hawg.  Other SPW wrestlers also live in the area including Marius, SPW referee Dan Moore and the madman from Winkler, Sydney Manson.

On June 5th, SPW returned to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes to promote an event that featured WWE legend Rick “the Model” Martel!  Both events in Notre-Dame were great successes which prompted SPW to look into more communities within the Valley.

On the eastern edge of the Pembina Valley, SPW debuted in Altona, Manitoba on November 27, 2010.  In an intimate venue, fans in attendance witnessed an action packed night that included the Provincial Title changing hands.

On January 16, 2010, one year after their Pembina Valley debut, SPW promoted their first event in Morden, Manitoba.  Deemed a success, SPW scheduled a second Morden event for Friday May 14, 2010.

In March SPW debuted in Somerset which holds a special place in the Pembina Valley in terms of wrestling history.  Somerset is the home of Ernie Rheault, a wrestler and promoter that staged events throughout the Pembina Valley for years during the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s.  SPW honoured Ernie Rheault with the SPW Lifetime Achievement Award on March 27, 2010.

Thanks to promoters such as Ernie Rheault and Tony Condello the Pembina Valley region is a rich with wrestling history.  SPW continues that heritage, promoting events throughout the region with an expanding list of dates and communities.  If you live in the Pembina Valley, check out an SPW show near you.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised!
