Former SPW stars return

At SPW’s most recent TV Taping at the Selkirk Memorial Hall on Saturday November 20th, both Danny Duggan and AJ Sanchez made their long awaited SPW returns.  In the last year both men have become major players on the Canadian independent wrestling scene.

A multiple time singles and tag-team champion, AJ Sanchez is no stranger to SPW main events having challenged both Matt Fairlane and Marius for the SPW Heavyweight Title on numerous occasions.  During SPW’s formative years Sanchez had memorable matches as part of the Big Sexy Beasts tag-team as well as series of matches against former partner Kevy Chevy and his brother JJ Sanchez.  In the last year Sanchez has wrestled a who’s who including Nigel McGuiness, Mentallo, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Big Vito, Nikolai Volkoff and many, many more!  AJ Sanchez’ return could have a major impact on the SPW rankings.

If it has been anyone’s year, it’s been Danny Duggan’s.  Like Sanchez he’s wrestled a laundry list of international stars such as Tajiri, Hardcore Holly, Roderick Strong and Gangrel.  This year alone Duggan completed a WWE/Pro Wrestling NOAH camp for Harley Race’s WLW in Kansas City, received two try-outs for Ring of Honor in Toronto, was given a try-out for Dragon Gate: USA, two try-outs for the WWE in Calgary and Edmonton and debuted in Japan for SMASH!

If the SPW rankings weren’t competitive enough, the return of both AJ Sanchez and Danny Duggan has turned things up a few more notches.
