After kicking off the 2012 season with three shows over the past weekend, get the latest SPW news and inside scoops!

 

 

-SPW officials were pleased with the turn-out for all three shows this weekend feeling it was a positive way to kick of 2012

 

-Ann Brookstone became the first SPW Women’s Champion on Friday January 20, 2012 in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes

 

-The next SPW event will be Raising the Stakes in Winnipeg on February 19, 2012

 

-4 new DVDs were released throughout last week

 

-Marius defeated Jerin Rose on Saturday January 21, 2012 in Selkirk to win the SPW Provincial Championship

 

-James Beaver, Jackie Lee, Tommy Lee Curtis and Spanky impressed SPW officials over the weekend

 

-La Sombra defeated “Iron” Ike Idol on Saturday January 21, 2012 in Selkirk to win the SPW Heavyweight Championship.  La Sombra is now SPW’s first ever Triple Crown Winner.

 

-Jerin Rose is said to be frustrated with his performances on Saturday and Sunday.  He was visibly upset following two losses and his inability to hit the Rose Cutter, his signature move that has gained him so many victories over the years.

 

-Kevy Chevy and Danny Duggan were backstage visiting during Sunday’s event

 

-Mystik Sexton defeated Ann Brookstone on Sunday January 22, 2012 to win the SPW Women’s Championship

 

-Bobby Jay was genuinely humbled by the reaction he got from the fans during his SPW Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony on Sunday night

 

-SPW officials are compiling the match results from all three shows which should be available on-line later in the week
